I dont know how to flip this one of Makenas birthday party. We celebrated with a few family friends and she had such a good time!

This was at the lake last summer. We rented a boat at clear lake and had a blast! Cant wait to do that again this summer!

Our year update!

I realize that I haven't updated our blog in about a year so here it goes! We are expecting our fourth child in 3 weeks! We are having a boy and naming him Maverick. We are very excited for him to come and join the family! The kids have been such a great help to me through this pregnancy! Macoy makes sure he takes care of me and always asks what he can do for me. I'm very blessed to have such a wonderful family!
Macoy is in Kindergarten this year. He is doing so good! He is reading and writing very well. His teacher is always telling me how good of a helper he is in class. He is pretty excited for first grade though!
Makena is in preschool this year and learning how to be more vocal around her classmates. At home she is a social butterfly but at school she is very quiet. She is such a good girl! She always helps and I know when her baby brother comes she is going to be such a great helper! She also just had a birthday a few weeks ago and got a bike! Her first time riding went so well and she was a natural!
Mya has been such an interesting and good girl! She is so smart and has mastered the skill of negotiation. She always tries to negotiate if things don't go her way, its really funny. She is very excited to go to preschool next year and be like her older siblings.
Hyrum has been doing great with his job and being a father and husband. He is very supportive to us and makes sure e is always providing what we need. He really enjoys his job and is starting on his Masters Degree.
We know we will be here in Washington for about another 1 1/2 years until Hyrum can be stationed some where else. We have made some really great friends here but would prefer a warmer climate ;)
I will post more pictures very soon!

More pictures!

December 2010

Things have been going really well for our family! Hyrum is gone a lot but hopefully that will be over very soon! Macoy has learned to read, he is sent home with a book a day from school that he reads. Its really exciting! Makena has gotten used to preschool and she absolutely loves it! Mya is doing great with her physical therapy. She has also learned to count to 11! I have been learning new things, like making soap and different crafts with a few friends. We are headed to AZ in 2 weeks for the holidays! We are really excited to see every one and spend time with people we haven't seen in about a year! Plus it will be warm!! Here is a pic of the kids during Halloween. I will upload more later.

Fair!!

Today we went to the fair with Sarah and Elm Jorgenson, and Heather Collett. It was a very fun day! We saw all the 4H animals and the kids rode on a few rides. It was really fun to spend time with the Jorgenson's and the Collett's.

SERE training

Hyrum has gone through 8 weeks of training so far. During the first phase he lost a total of 18lbs! He looked like a skeleton! He was able to gain back almost half of that before he went out again. I was told that every phase they will average a 10 lbs lose because of dehydration and starvationd lost another 10 lbs. But he is now over 170 again! After this is all over I want him to be back at his 180 mark! He is currently doing the Desert phase and will be home Saturday. The kids miss him as much as I do but we are getting used to him being gone for a week or more at a time. Macoy and Makena are starting school Sept. 2nd! I'm really excited and I think that they will have so much fun making friends and getting to learn! We have gotten them both new school clothes and backpack stuff! They had so much fun picking that out! Mya took her first steps by herself yesterday!!!! It was so exciting, especially since we were told that she probably wouldnt start walking till she was 2 years old or older. She is my little princess!
